The Hold Steady

I was lucky enough to join Kate the Date at Bathhouse Studios last night for a Fuel TV party that The Hold Steady played. I'd never seen them live before and they were awesome. I was already a fan, I may now be a superfan!

15 Year Old Girl Wants A Baby - WTF?!

Everyone's reactions to this baby slut was great. Ie: "Whoooooooooooa", "I'd hit it", and "That girl needs to chill the F out".

Umm, this self proclaimed "playa" does not need to be procreating any time soon. Or ever. People, er, kids, like this terrify me.

Your Logo Makes Me Barf dotcom

Best website name with a fitting logo.

This site has some pretty godawful logos on it. Check it out if you're feeling down about your own design skills because you'll immediately feel better after. I promise.

Yay For Google Earth

After some little punkass named Rory found out about google earth, he decided to paint a giant, 60ft long dick on his parents' roof. The best part is that it was up there a year before a news helicopter saw it and called the owners of the house.

The dad thought someone was pulling an April Fools day joke on him until he talked to his son Rory, who simply said "Oh, you've found it then!"

But seriously, can you imagine the convo. 'Son, did you paint a large penis on our roof?' Hahaha no way I'd be able to keep a straight face in that situation.

Faceplant!

During my daydrinking expedition on St. Patty's day I encountered many far too drunk people stumbling around Manhattan, but this guy takes the cake. And eats shit. I knew something funny would happen so I decided to video him, and sure enough I caught one of the best faceplants I've ever seen. It's around the 1:05 mark, watch him in the background after he walks away. Try to ignore the tool from Missouri trying to arm wrestle my friend, but it is also pretty amusing. Enjoy!

Adorable.

Whatever, I know this picture is a day late but I don't care. It's too adorable not to post.

Fun Fact of the Day

Oh hey neighbor. Barry Manilow is from the hood. Who knew?

"I come from nowhere Brooklyn, New York. Williamsburg, Brooklyn. These days Williamsburg is kind of a hip area, but when I grew up there, the taxi drivers wouldn't even go over the bridge, it was so dangerous."

Northside Festival

"This year, The L Magazine will host the first annual Northside Music and Arts Festival, a four-day celebration of New York City’s independent music and art scene, taking place from June 11-14 at over fifty music venues and galleries throughout the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods of Brooklyn."

Brooklyn Vegan, Gothamist, Frenchkiss Records, WFUV and Kanine Records will all be hosting showcases - sounds like a good deal to me!

No bands have been announced, but check out NorthsideFestival.com for any updates.

WTF, Baby Bangs?! Really?

I shit you not, these baby bangs are for real. Ridiculous.

Just Because...

yum.

Gossip Girl Makeover

Eric (the one in the middle, for those of you losers who don't watch GG) looks one billion times better now that they chopped off his godawful, fluffy blonde hair. This makes me so very happy.

I hope the Daily Intel take notice and comment on this upgrade. Oh, and if you don't know about the Daily Intels' genius GG episode recaps, catch up. It's almost as good as the show itself, almost.

Lady Bubbles

Oh Lady Gaga - of course I like her because I'm a sucker for euro-pop (sounding) music. That said, I want/love her bubble dress. It's very dreamy.

Michael Pitt is a dreamboat

This short video opened the YSL Fall 09 mens fashion show in Paris. Its basically just Michael Pitt looking sexy and some French woman rambling a bunch of nonsense for added sexiness. It was shot by fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and happened to be filmed at my work! Let me tell you, hes hotter in person.

Those are not hotwheels...

Theres a giant BMW billboard in Moscow with actual cars stuck to it. It looks pretty cool with the headlights and everything on at night. It would be cooler if they were on some sort of track and drove around. Give it time, thats next.

Will you have this dance?

Land of the Lost!

The Land of the Lost was a TV show aired amid Saturday morning cartoons in the 70's, then again in the 90's, and now they are making a movie based on it starring Will Ferrel. I used to loooove this show, I think its awesome that they are making a movie of it, even though it probably won't be all that great. Trailer for the movie below.

This is the show intro from the 90's. Oh how I wish I was little, watching Saturday morning cartoons and eating pop tarts, instead of working on a Saturday morning. FML.

(500) Days of Summer

I really want to see this new movie called (500) Days of Summer. It's got Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it and comes out end of July.

The plot: Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Girl doesn't love boy. Go watch the trailer, it looks adorable.

And by the way, when did Joseph Gordon-Levitt get so hot? Seriously, when? Crush.

Awesome.

Gimme My Nuggets!!

"I called 911 because I couldn't get a refund, and I wanted my McNuggets," said Latreasa Goodman.

This dumb-dumb of a woman called 911 not once, not twice, but three times because the McDonald's she was at ran out of chicken McNuggets. Seriously. She ordered a 10 piece nugget, McDonald's didn't have any, so they offered her a bigger, more expensive meal instead. Um, super size my meal for free? Yes please!

The police ended up giving her a notice to appear on a misuse of 911 charge - which is basically an excuse for them to fine this lady for being a crazy person. Yes, justice always prevails.

I'd like to be Seth Rogan in this picture. Because we all know Paul Rudd is dreamy.
